The global international economy relies on transparent data to function and manage systemic risk. For example, if a mortgage lender cannot verify that you are the actual owner of a property (often using a property deed), how can the lender guarantee that they will recoup their money should you stop paying the mortgage? Magnify this writ large. If a government or society cannot verify who they are doing business with, or what goods are entering their borders, how can they protect their citizens and intellectual property?

Transparency and verification is the foundation for communities to operate in our globally connected world. Authoritarian governments may seek to restrict this flow of information, but ultimately they only degrade the trust required for their economies and societies to flourish. Despite setbacks, the trend is arcing towards more and more PAI, and Seamless Horizons offers an architecture to index and curate this for investigators.
